Team Astra celebrates 10-medal haul at Glasgow 2026

Astra Partners athletes completed an outstanding Commonwealth Games with 10 medals – five gold, three silver and two bronze – across a memorable six days of athletics and Para athletics at Glasgow 2026.

Sophie Hahn began the medal rush by winning England’s women’s T38 100m title in 12.79 seconds. She returned to the track later in the Games to claim silver in the T38 200m, completing an impressive individual medal double.

Eleanor Patterson secured women’s high jump gold for Australia, clearing 1.96m to equal the Commonwealth Games record. The victory came 12 years after she won her first Commonwealth title in the same city at Glasgow 2014.

Grenada’s Lindon Victor continued his remarkable Commonwealth record by winning the men’s decathlon. The result completed a hat-trick of titles following his previous victories at Gold Coast 2018 and Birmingham 2022.

Australia celebrated two more Team Astra champions on the final evening. Josh Azzopardi helped the men’s 4x100m relay team race to gold, while Mackenzie Little produced a season-best performance to win the women’s javelin title.

Udodi Onwuzurike enjoyed a superb two-medal Games for Nigeria. He raced to silver in the men’s 200m before adding bronze as part of Nigeria’s men’s 4x100m relay squad.

Savannah Sutherland also reached the podium, securing bronze for Canada in the women’s 400m hurdles.

Laviai Nielsen completed the Astra medal haul as part of England’s silver-winning mixed 4x400m relay squad. Laviai ran the anchor leg as England won their qualifying heat, before her twin sister Lina represented the team in the final.

From individual champions to vital relay contributions, Astra athletes delivered outstanding performances for Grenada, England, Australia, Nigeria and Canada throughout the Games.
