Astra Partners Welcome Sheffield United Duo to the Roster

Astra Partners are delighted to confirm the signing of two exciting young players from Sheffield United’s academy – midfielder Sam Aston and defender Zain Tahir.

Both players have come through the youth ranks at Bramall Lane and are regarded as promising talents within the Blades’ development system.

Sam Aston, a creative central midfielder, has stepped up to Sheffield United’s U21 side this season after impressing at U18 level. Known for his composure on the ball and set-piece delivery, Aston played a key role in United’s Professional Development League title win, scoring in both the semi-final and final.

Zain Tahir operates as a left-sided defender and has shown maturity beyond his years since joining the club as a scholar in 2022. Comfortable at full-back or in a back three, he has progressed from the U18s to earn regular minutes with the U21s, showcasing his technical ability and tactical awareness.
