Sam Aston is a talented young midfielder currently playing for Sheffield United’s U21 side. A product of the Blades’ academy, Sam has progressed steadily through the ranks thanks to his technical ability, composure on the ball, and standout set-piece delivery.
Born on 10th July 2006, Sam has become a regular fixture in United’s development teams, catching the eye with consistent performances at U18 level before stepping up to the U21s ahead of the 2024/25 season. His ability to control the tempo of a game and contribute in big moments has made him a key part of the side’s midfield engine.
Aston played a pivotal role in United’s run to the PDL National title, scoring in both the semi-final and final to help the team secure silverware. His creativity and eye for goal, particularly from dead-ball situations, have marked him out as one of the club’s brightest young prospects.
Wearing squad number 48, he’s developed with the U21s earning him his first professional contract with the Blades and now looking to break into the first-team at Bramall Lane.
