Alice Hill is one of Australia’s most exciting emerging sprint talents.
The Australian 400m runner enjoyed a breakthrough 2026 season, rapidly establishing herself among the leading young quarter-milers in the world.
After winning the Australian U20 400m title, Alice was selected to represent Australia at the 2026 World Athletics U20 Championships in Eugene, Oregon.
Still only 17, she won her opening 400m heat before producing a personal best of 53.28 in the semi-final to qualify for the World U20 final as its youngest competitor.
Alice raised her level again on the global stage, clocking another personal best of 53.16 in the final to finish ninth in the world.
She completed an outstanding championship by helping Australia claim the silver medal in the women’s 4x400m relay.
Alice’s rise has been exceptional. She began the season with a personal best of 57.83 and has improved by more than four and a half seconds to 53.16, underlining her potential as one of Australia’s brightest young sprint prospects.
