Laviai Nielsen earns Commonwealth relay silver

Astra Partners athlete Laviai Nielsen has earned silver as part of England’s mixed 4x400m relay squad at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.

Nielsen ran the anchor leg as England won their qualifying heat, finishing ahead of Kenya and securing their place in the final.

Her twin sister Lina was selected for the final and produced a strong finish to bring England home in second place behind Jamaica.

As a competing member of the relay team, Laviai shares in England’s silver-medal success alongside Lina and the athletes who represented the team across both rounds.
