Astra Partners Secure Rising Nigerian Talent Elijah Onyeuche Ujunwa

Astra Partners are delighted to announce the signing of Nigerian defender Elijah Onyeuche Ujunwa, following a successful scouting mission to Lagos in 2024.

Ujunwa, a product of the renowned A.S Racine FC academy in Lagos, impressed Astra’s scouting team — led by John Regis MBE, Billy Bingham, and Liam McDermott — with his outstanding pace, stamina, and versatility. His leadership qualities were also clear, having captained youth sides during his time at A.S Racine, a club with a history of producing top-level talent.

In January 2025, Ujunwa took a major step in his career by earning a contract with Serbian Premier League side FK TSC Bačka Topola, becoming a regular fixture in their U-19 squad. His transition into European football has been seamless, with early performances highlighting his potential to thrive at the highest levels.
