John Regis MBE

John Regis, born in Lewisham, is a retired English athlete. He mainly competed in the 200m event and was the first British athlete to run under 20 seconds and still holds the UK record for this event. During his illustrious career, John has won a total of 17 international medals from competing in Olympic Games, World Championships, European Championships, World Indoor Championships and Commonwealth Games. Whilst competing in the British 4x400m team in 1990, John helped set the European record in this event.

John is still the only British Athlete to have won 4 medals in the European Championships. In particular, John was an integral part of Great Britain’s 4x400m relay team, running the third leg in the team’s famous victory over the USA (and everyone else) at the World Championships in Tokyo in 1991.

John Regis has been a Sports Agent for over 20 years. Now the Director of Astra Partners Ltd, his wealth of knowledge accumulated over his management career will give his clients a great platform to be successful.
