Biography

Annette Nneka Echikunwoke born on the 29^th July 1996 is an American hammer thrower from Pickerington, Ohio. She is a 2024 Olympic silver medalist in the women’s hammer throw – becoming the first American woman ever to win an Olympic medal in this event with the best throw of 75.48m at the Paris Games.

Annette has won muliple national and international titles, including becoming NCAA champion, and she holds a personal best of 75.49m in the hammer throw, set in Tucson, Arizona in 2021.

As of 2025, she is ranked inside the top 15 women’s hammer throwers in the world and continues to compete at the highest level
