Yanis Esmeralda David, born on 12 December 1997, is a prominent French long jumper and triple jumper originally from Guadeloupe. David has achieved remarkable success in both national and international competitions. Her personal best in the long jump is 6.84 metres, achieved in 2019, and in the triple jump, it is 14.35 metres, also recorded in 2019 (Wikipedia) (World Athletics).
David’s distinguished record includes winning NCAA titles in the indoor triple jump and outdoor long jump in 2019 while competing for the University of Florida. She also swept the long jump and triple jump titles at both the SEC Indoor and Outdoor Championships, a rare accomplishment (Wikipedia). Internationally, she has been the World U20 champion, the European U23 champion, and a Youth Olympic Games winner. David represented France in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, marking her debut on the Olympic stage (World Athletics) (Paris 2024 Olympics).
Yanis David competes for France and is affiliated with the club EC Orléans CJF, where she continues her training and competitive activities. As of now, she is preparing for the Paris 2024 Olympics, highlighting her continued dedication and elite status in the sport.
