Doncaster Rovers
Robbie Gotts (b. 9 Nov 1999, Harrogate) is a dynamic and versatile midfielder who will join Doncaster Rovers ahead of the 2025–26 season in League One. A Leeds United academy graduate, he was their Academy Player of the Year in 2019–20 and made his senior debut in the FA Cup against Arsenal. He spent successful loan spells at Lincoln City and Salford City in 2020–21 before signing for Barrow in August 2021. Over four seasons in League Two, Gotts made more than 150 appearances and was named Barrow’s Player of the Year in 2021–22. In May 2025, he agreed a two-year deal with Doncaster Rovers—cited as their priority signing—where he’ll bring energy, tactical flexibility (able to operate in midfield or at right-back), and leadership to the team under Grant McCann’s direction. Gotts is determined to make an immediate impact as he steps into League One.
