Biography

Cameron Evans is a promising Welsh central defender currently playing for Newport County in League Two. A graduate of Swansea City’s academy, Evans gained valuable senior experience during loan spells with Waterford FC and Yeovil Town before making a permanent move to Newport in 2023.

Strong in the air and assured in possession, Evans has become a regular fixture in Newport’s backline. His development in both the English and Irish systems has helped him mature into a composed, reliable presence at the heart of defence.

Evans joined the Astra Partners roster in 2025, reflecting his growing status in the EFL.
