Udodi Onwuzurike wins Commonwealth silver and bronze

Astra Partners athlete Udodi Onwuzurike claimed two medals for Nigeria at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.

Onwuzurike raced to silver in the men’s 200m, crossing the line in 20.09 seconds behind South Africa’s Sinesipho Dambile, who won gold in 19.96.

He later added bronze as part of Nigeria’s men’s 4x100m relay squad. Nigeria finished in 38.12 seconds, just 0.01 seconds ahead of Ghana, with Australia taking gold and Canada silver following a successful appeal.
