Savannah Sutherland claims Commonwealth bronze

Astra Partners athlete Savannah Sutherland has secured bronze for Canada in the women’s 400m hurdles at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.

Sutherland produced a strong finish to move through the field and seal the final place on the podium, behind Jamaica’s Sanique Walker and England’s Emily Newnham.

The result gives the 22-year-old a Commonwealth medal on her Games debut and adds another major achievement to her growing international career.
