Jon Newsome joins Astra Partners as Football Agent

Astra Partners have confirmed the appointment of Jon Newsome as a FIFA-qualified football agent, strengthening their growing football division.

Newsome made over 200 senior appearances during a playing career that spanned Sheffield Wednesday, Leeds United, Norwich City and Bolton Wanderers. He was part of the Leeds United side that lifted the First Division title in 1992 and went on to captain Norwich City during a key period in the Premier League.

After retiring due to injury in 2000, Newsome moved into scouting before founding his own sports agency. He later joined New Era Global Sports Management, where he spent several years representing players across the professional game.
